The team were called to the assistance of an injured D of E walker. During this, they were also made aware of another walker with a leg injury. Both were recovered in team vehicles back to base.
On Saturday 10th June we welcomed the Our Blue Light relay to Derbyshire. The Blue Light Torch is making its way around the north of England helping to raise the issue of mental health and well-being throughout the statutory and voluntary blue light services.
Following a successful trek to Everest Basecamp, raising an outstanding £650 for the team in the process, local adventurers Susannah and Philippa visited the team’s base in Hayfield to meet us and to see where their money would be spent.

We were called to assist a walker with a reported dislocated knee. His position was initially reported as under Kinder Downfall. However, following a very broken telephone conversation, it became apparent that that as not correct and that they were intact somewhere off the southern edge in one of the cloughs.
Two local walkers are to trek to Everest Base Camp in April 2017, raising money for the team in the process.
The team were called to assist a male who had been reported with a lower leg injury. Having confirmed his location, team members were able to get to his location and provide initial treatment. Once stabilised, he was packaged up onto our stretcher and carried to our waiting vehicle before being transferred to a land ambulance.
The team were called to assist a lady who had been out walking her dog. She had slipped and injured her ankle. Having confirmed their location through SARLOC, we were able to quickly locate her party and after medical attention, she was loaded onto a stretcher and carried down to an EMAS ambulance.
