Generous donation from Co Op Community Fund

On Saturday 25 November 2017, Team Chairman Nigel Taylor and long-term team member Howard Taylor (no relation) attended the Co Operative food store in Whaley Bridge to collect a donation from the Co Op Community Fund.

38: Callout Saturday 30th September 2017

The team were called to reports of a walker stuck in a bog on the plateau. A SARLOC text was sent to try and establish their exact position and the team called out but they were assisted by other walkers on scene and we were stood down within 5 minutes of being called.

36: Callout Thursday 7th September 2017

The team were called out to assist in the search for a walker who was missing somewhere between Edale and Crowden Youth Hostel. As we were beginning to mobilise, Glossop MRT located the walker on the road towards Snake Inn. The team were therefore stood down.

35: Callout Tuesday 5th September 2017

The team were called to assist in the search for a walker lost on Kinder along with Buxton, Glossop and Edale MRT’s. Following a discussion with him, resources were being focused on the Northern edges / Black Ashop Moor area as the most likely location whilst still covering all other possibilities. Fortunately he was found by a Glossop hill party and subsequently escorted off the hill.

Our Blue Light relay

On Saturday 10th June we welcomed the Our Blue Light relay to Derbyshire. The Blue Light Torch is making its way around the north of England helping to raise the issue of mental health and well-being throughout the statutory and voluntary blue light services.
