We were asked by GMP to assist in the search for a vulnerable person who had gone missing earlier in the day.

Earlier in the week we had been asked to take part in a search for a missing person in the Whaley Bridge area.

We were asked to search for a walker who had become lost in the mist on Kinder Plateau.

32:Call Out 9th November 2011

  • TYPE – Ambulance Assist.
  • LOCATION – Bluebell Wood, Hayfield.
  • TEAM MEMBERS – 8 + 1 prospective new member.
  • DURATION – 15 min or 2 hours 15min.

Contacted by the Duty Controller to assist the Ambulance Service attending a 40 year old male who had collapsed in Bluebell Wood.

I received a call from another team leader just after 9pm, passing on a call for assistance from a walker sat at Edale Cross who was exhausted and unable to continue.
