We were alerted to a pair of lost walkers by the Duty Controller. Initially, we had no idea where they were and were unable to contact them but were aware that a relative had been in contact – so the team were put on an initial stand by till we had more information. Through broken communications with this relative, we got a better picture of what was happening and it became apparent that the pair had just found the edge path on the western edge. They then reported back to the police that they were happy now to make their own way off the hill so the team were stood down. I asked their relatives to keep in contact with us just in case.
Through continued messages, we were informed when the pair made it back into Edale at 20:30 and then when they were eventually back at their accommodation at 22:00.
