A busy weekend for KMRT
This weekend was a very busy weekend for us at Kinder Mountain rescue!
Our usual monthly exercise was replaced by our marshaling of the Kinder Downfall Fell Race, and providing first aid cover. 266 runners set off from Hayfield in a chilly breeze, but glorious sunshine to complete the 15.4 KM course.
Whilst many of us were out enjoying the sunshine, others were completing their Casualty Care exam, and BLS (Basic life Support) assessment. All passed with flying colors, so congratulations to them all!
And not to be outdone, both our team leader, and fund-raising officer competed in the London Marathon on Sunday, completing the course in 3:58 and 4:44 respectively, congratulations to them, and to everyone who took part.
