We were contacted at 13.55 by the ambulance service for possible assistance to an injured mountain biker in the New Mills area. We had just finished a rope rescue exercise at Tegg’s Nose Country Park near Macclesfield. Our response vehicle and some team members set off back towards New Mills, as everyone else packed up the rope rescue equipment.
An ambulance arrived at the injured mountain biker shortly afterwards and we were informed that our assistance was not required. The team were stood down and we made our way back to Hayfield to dry out all our wet rope rescue equipment.
