The team were called to assist Buxton Mountain Rescue Team with a casualty located at Pym’s Chair on the southern edge of Kinder Scout. A walker had suffered an ankle injury and was unable to progress any further, so called for Mountain Rescue assistance. Buxton team were en-route to the casualty, but due to low numbers, as the incident occurred on a working day, they requested our assistance. Team members were deployed via Land Rover to Edale Cross, who then joined up with Buxton team to assist with the evacuation of the casualty. This was achieved by sledging the casualty down in to the Edale valley. An excellent example of how the PDMRO teams work together to provide rescue coverage across the Kinder plateau.
