27 and 28: Callouts Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th June 2018

On Tuesday we were contacted by Oldham Mountain Rescue Team at 18:56 with a request to provide them with medical support cover, to assist their involvement with a significant moorland fire on Saddleworth Moor.
We despatched one of Land Rovers with a team doctor and three experienced casualty carers to provide medical assistance for anyone injured in fighting the fire.
We were stood down and arrived back at base at 01:03. Our friends in the Oldham team continued to provide cover throughout the night.
The following day we were contacted at 17:01 by Oldham Mountain Rescue Team, seeking our further assistance. The Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service were looking for crewed 4×4 vehicles to assist once again.
We were able to despatch a Land Rover again with experienced casualty carers. They provided assistance and support, until being stood down and returning to base for 00:07
