We were called to assist a walker with a reported dislocated knee. His position was initially reported as under Kinder Downfall. However, following a very broken telephone conversation, it became apparent that that was not correct and that they were infact somewhere off the southern edge in one of the cloughs. This was confirmed when the casualty party were finally able to activate a SARLOC message.
Coastguard support had already been requested and they were now directed to this location whilst our team members made their way along from Edale Cross. Once there, our casualty carer was able to assess the casualty and prepare him for evacuation. He was then winched off the hill and taken to Northern General for treatment whilst his companion was walked down into Edale by Buxton MRT.
The team were finally stood down at 22:30.
